Marketing Communications Manager

San Francisco, CA

As the Marketing Communications Manager, you’ll take charge of all Marketing Communications projects in order to drive awareness and sales of MarkMonitor solutions. You’ll lead the development and execution of all marketing communications programs and materials; including content development; Web site content, design, SEO and analytics; social media; collateral systems; online and print advertising as well as support materials for events.

You will work with the executive team, sales & marketing management and the product marketing & management teams to increase brand awareness and meet and beat the revenue goals for MarkMonitor, supporting all sales channels including inside and outside sales forces as well as partners. You’ll be responsible for managing all creative and production resources, including in-house creative services, external design and advertising agencies as well as freelance contractors.

Critical Responsibilities:

  • Drive conceptualization and execution of all marketing materials; including marketing collateral, online and print advertising campaigns, and sales tools
  • Ensure consistent internal and external communication of the brand; including guardianship of all brand marks for global sales, product and marketing purposes
  • Guide content development; including the Web site, microsites, newsletters and other offerings, working with internal and external writers/editors as needed
  • Develop, execute and measure SEO strategies; deliver in-depth web reporting & analytics using Google Analytics
  • Drive corporate editorial board; surfacing, packaging and leveraging content across all marketing efforts
  • Manage corporate social media efforts, including corporate blog
  • Work with key company stakeholders to maintain and enhance Web site look and feel
  • Evaluate, participate in selection & direct outside agencies and vendors; including design agencies, advertising agencies, freelance writers and print/production vendors
  • Lead product launch process and go-to-market plan development from a Communications department perspective, delivering on-time/on-budget launches
  • Determine key metrics and success criteria for marketing communications, content development and social media marketing efforts

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5 years plus marketing communications experience
  • A track record of successfully promoting commercial software and building brands with recognized impact
  • Demonstrated track record in excelling at project management and working successfully with creative professionals (writing, design, graphics)
  • Proven knowledge and experience in SEO strategies and tactics
  • Deep knowledge and experience using Google Analytics
  • Experience in marketing enterprise software and SAAS solutions
  • Exemplary content creation and design development experience
  • Interest in social media and willingness to apply techniques to conservative enterprise audience
  • Strong analytical and budget management experience
  • Knowledge of direct and value-added channel sales and experience producing marketing communications and content strategies to serve these channels
  • BS/BA required
